The Produce for Better Health Foundation has declared September National Fruits and Veggies Month and we couldnt be more thrilled to help them celebrate. Adding an additional serving of fruits and vegetables to every meal will up your nutrition for the day, and its easier than you think. Here are our suggestions on how to participate in the September eat more fruits and veggies#HaveAPlantPledge with some delicious ideas for every meal of the day.

Start your day off on the right foot with our Apple Berry Smoothie Bowl, made with KORU® apples.  Its loaded with fruits and veggies as well as natural fats and protein to give you a healthy dose of superfoods.

Our Easy Apple Sauce recipe is delicious for breakfast mixed with yogurt, or in our healthy Apple Donut Muffins. But it is also a low fat and nutritious addition to lunch or dinner. Serve it alongside grilled pork or dolloped on a baked sweet potato.

Butternut Pear Soup

Our Butternut Squash and Pear Soup with Spiced Chickpeas packs in a serving of both fruit and vegetables and makes a cozy fall lunch any day of the week. The chickpeas offer plant based protein to round out the dish for a hearty meal.

Want to sneak a little extra fruit into your kids’ lunch? Our Rockit® Grilled Cheese Sandwich has sweet Rockit® apple slices tucked in between savory melted cheese. The kids will love this twist on a classic.

For a hearty No Meat Monday” meal, try our Roasted Winter Bowl with Creamy Dressing. Its chock-full of plant based protein, loads of vegetables and fresh sliced apples to give it a nice juicy crunch.

Apple Pumpkin Chili

Chili is always a great choice for a cool fall evening, especially when it boasts extra vitamins and minerals like our Apple, Pumpkin and Chipotle Chili does.

Take the #HaveAPlantPledge and make September delicious!
