  • 2 tsp. onion powder
  • 2 tsp. granulated garlic
  • 2 tsp. kosher salt
  • 2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tbsp. chili powder

Sweet Cherry BBQ sauce: (Makes about 3 cups!)

  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 tsp. granulated garlic
  • 2 cups fresh sweet cherries pitted
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1. Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp. dry mustard
  • ½ tsp. fresh ground black pepper
  • ½ cup chipotle peppers in adobo sauce

Directions

  1. Peel the silver skin off your rack of ribs and cut in half or thirds depending on the size of your air fryer. Completely season the ribs with the dry rub.
  2.  Preheat your air fryer to 390°F. When your air fryer is hot, place the ribs in your air fryer basket and cook for 25 minutes.  Flipping them halfway through cooking.
  3. Meanwhile, make the Sweet Cherry BBQ sauce. Destem and pit your sweet cherries. Add all the ingredients to a food processor and pulse until liquified.
  4. When the time is up on the ribs, baste with BBQ sauce and return to air fryer.  Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes or until they are lightly charred on top insuring that the sauce is caramelized.
  5. Remove from the air fryer, let rest a few minutes and then slice down the side of each bone.  Serve with more Sweet Cherry BBQ sauce.
